Environment:  reef-associated; brackish; marine; depth range 8 - 52 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Florida, USA and the Bahamas to Central America and Lesser Antilles.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in schools near large coral columns and heads (Ref. 7251). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
