Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; brackish; marine, anadromous
Distribution:  Asia: endemic to the Amur basin, occurring in the middle and lower reaches of the Amur, Ussuri River and Lake Khanka, Amur estuary and southern Sea of Okhotsk.
Diagnosis:  Body color grayish green on back; sides and belly silvery white; dorsal, adipose and caudal fins slightly tinted with pale yellow and pectoral, pelvic and caudal fins grayish yellow. Upper jaw large and broad; eyes without sebaceous eyelid (Ref. 45563).
Biology:  Euryhaline.
