Max. size:  43 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Euorpe: Lake Ladoga in Russia. Widely introduced to other lakes in Latvia, European Russia and Siberia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in lakes. Adults prey on fish, mostly Osmerus eperlanus, while juveniles feed on zoonplankton. Reaches sexual maturity at 2 years, 30 g for males, and 60-70 g for females. Hybridizes with other Coregonus species (Ref. 59043).
