Family:  Clinidae (Clinids)
Max. size:  13 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: Lüderitzbucht, Namibia to west of Algoa Bay, South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 30-34; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-7; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 20-24. Light green in color, with crossbars or speckles; fins vermilion; dark ocellus on shoulder (Ref. 5496). Juveniles with black and white crossbars (Ref. 5496).
Biology:  Occurs in tide pools and subtidal areas. Viviparous (Ref. 51409).
