Family:  Microdesmidae (Wormfishes), subfamily: Microdesminae
Max. size:  6.2 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 8 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: off Cabo San Lucas, Baja California and off Nayarit. Mexico to northern Colombia and the Galapagos Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky, exposed tide pools and shallow rock and coral reef areas (Ref. 28023). Spawns upon reaching 3.4 cm SL (Ref. 28023). Oviparous (Ref. 56086).
