Distribution:  Asia: West Borneo, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 65-72; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 51-60. Very short occipital process length (5.2-6.6% HL), a relatively long distance between the tip of the occipital process and the dorsal fin origin (6.4-8.7% SL), the anterior edge of the pectoral spine smooth and without serrae, and a relatively short anal fin compared to C. nieuhofii with 51-60 rays (Ref. 49847).
Biology:  Inhabits swampy areas bordering the mainstream of the Kapuas River and its tributaries (Ref. 49847).
