Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 42 - 60 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Japan and the Philippines. Photographed from Palau.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 11-11; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 9-9
Biology:  Occurs along steep seaward reefs (Ref. 37816). Specimens collected at 42 and 60 m (Ref. 1692).
