Family:  Labridae (Wrasses), subfamily: Cheilininae
Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 7 - 22 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Marshall Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 11-11; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-9; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 9-9. Females are nearly identical to C. luteovittatus, males have extremely long pelvic fins (Ref. 37816).
Biology:  Inhabits lagoon and seaward reefs, above coral, rubble or algae. Feeds on zooplankton (Ref. 9710).
