Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Chrominae
Max. size:  11.3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 4 - 75 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Gulf of California.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 11. Caudal fin lobes rounded.
Biology:  Adults inhabit rocky reefs (Ref. 9334). They feed mainly on plankton (Ref. 9334). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
