Max. size:  30 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: Namibia (Ref. 27121), and from Port Nolloth to northern Natal in South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-9; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 6-7
Biology:  Feeds on sea urchins and limpets (Ref. 6614).
