Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 20 - 75 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Tanzania and Mozambique. Also reported from the Comoros (Ref. 11228).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 22-23; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 13-14
