Family:  Mochokidae (Squeakers or upside-down catfishes), subfamily: Chiloglanidinae
Max. size:  4.4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater,
Distribution:  Africa: endemic to the Kalambo River basin, Tanzania (Ref. 27292, 78218, 87986).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Oviparous (Ref. 205). Caught in water with rocks and boulders, little waterfalls and rapids, not in more quiet streams; nothing is known in detail on its diet, but it seems to be omnivorous; nothing is known on the breeding habits (Ref. 27292).
