Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Myanmar to Cambodia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 39-40; Anal soft rays: 42-43; Vertebrae: 72-72. Caudal fin not fused with dorsal and anal fins (Ref. 43281).
Biology:  Found in lowland wetlands in dense vegetation (Ref. 57235). Occur on the bottom of shallow standing waters. Most common on grassy floodplains, often in water only a few centimeters deep (Ref. 12693). Possibly consists of multiple species (Ref. 57235).
