Family:  Cichlidae (Cichlids), subfamily: Pseudocrenilabrinae
Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater,
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Tanganyika (Ref. 5610), found on both the western (DR Congo) and the eastern (Tanzania) coast of the lake (Ref. 46829).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Rubble-dweller; sedentary; builds nest in the rubble; feeds on invertebrates growing on rocks which are hidden by the biocover (Ref. 6770).
