Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: known only from the holotype taken off Saldanha Bay, South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 140-140; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 100-100
Biology:  Rare species, known from a depth of 1,000 m (Ref. 34024).
