Remarks | During low water season, the Ambomboa (= Amboaboa) is fairly clear with a conductivity of around 100 µS/cm, and pH 8.3, flowing over a rock and sand bed and forming numerous small rapids alternating with quieter pools. Gut short and simple; contains almost exclusively of macerated insect remains of terrestrial origin; a few aquatic larval remains present in some individuals. |
