Remarks The species was reported to swim near the bottom to feed, substrate containing food are scooped and ingested. Stomach content with diatoms, desmids, and epiphytic filamentous algae. Also reported to occur in small streams or places of weak currents in adjoining swampy areas. Captured along banks of rivers (Ref. 11334).
