Remarks 'Wapu' (pronouncing wapuu, with a deep 'u') is the cunuri (Cunuria crassipes Müller. Arg.; Euphorbiaceae), a common tree of the riparian forest of the Rio Tiquié. 'Dike' (pronouncing 'Diirrkeehh' - with a guttural 'r' and an open 'e') - a general name applied to the species of Gymnotus.
