Max. size:  22 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, potamodromous
Distribution:  Asia: India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar (Ref. 4832). Reported from Afghanistan (Ref. 41034).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in rivers, lakes and ponds (Ref. 4832). Important food and sport fish (Ref. 40948).
