Σχόλια Recorded with certainty only from the coast of Brazil. Inhabits shallow, coral or rocky bottoms and sometimes near the shore in areas with little visibility. A diurnal species, it feeds on benthic algae, polychaetes and harpaticoid copepods. Adults also consume hydroids and sponges and has been observed to feed on Abudefduf saxatilis eggs at night. 16:21 SL/TL . Cleaned by Elacatinus figaro observed off the coast of São Paulo, southeastern Brazil (Ref. 40102). Also cleaned by Pomacanthus paru observed at the reefs of the Abrolhos Archipelago, off eastern Brazil (Ref. 40094).
